Homemade Birthday Greetings


Greeting cards are a great way to make any special occasion a special one. Homemade handmade cards have a personalized touch and also the uniqueness. Today, E-greetings have taken within the beauty of handmade greeting cards. E-greetings are particularly popular in instances where distance is the issue. However, just when was the last time you visited an outlet to pick greeting cards for your loved ones? Or perhaps created one yourself? Well, not like the beauty and feelings involved with homemade greeting cards! And on an event like a birthday, handmade cards would just make things even special for that person!


The use of bright colors is essential for any birthday card. The occasion as being a happy and cheerful one, it's bright colors that symbolize the emotions felt about that particular day! Flowers are an easy way to add beauty to the visual. Beautiful flowers in pastel shades really are a wonderful way to convey birthday desires to a friend. A set of watercolors would help attain the desired effect if you have excellent drawing skills. Aside from flowers, you can add elements for example balloons, graffiti, birthday cakes, animals, cartoon figures or characters, etc. These forms sets the right look for the minute card. 

Fisherman Birthday Card

Create a special birthday greeting for the fisherman. Fold a sheet of card stock in half to make a blank card (to suit an A-2 size envelope). Draw the outline of the simple fish (similar to the Christian symbol) on decorative scrapbook paper with fishing images which include fishing rod, fish, bobbers and lures. Work out and attach it towards the front of the blank card. Add peel-and-stick fishing themed foam embellishments or hot glue actual tackle or other small fishing accessories. Within the card write a birthday greeting for example "Hope you catch a whopper in your birthday" or "Have a great birthday at the favorite fishing spot."

Fall Birthday Card
Create fall birthday handmade cards with themed papers, colors and decorations. Cut orange, beige, brown and red card stock sheets into 10-by-7-inch pieces, then fold them in two to make blank 5-by-7-inch cards. Make use of a calligraphy pen to write "Happy Birthday" on the front from the card. Stamp a few fall leaves in metallic ink. Attach small fake leaves with leaf brads. Give a few embellishments such as novelty buttons and charms with hot glue. Write an individual greeting inside the card for example "Wishing you a wonderful day" or "Best wishes in your birthday." The card will fit an A-7 envelope.

Purse Shaped Birthday Card

Produce a cute purse-shaped birthday greeting card. Fold a sheet of colored card stock or printed heavy scrapbook paper (both 8 1/2-by-11 inches) lengthwise 4 1/2-inches in making a crease. Fold the paper by 50 percent 1/2-inches on the crease and make a crease. Cut the paper across the second fold. Fold the fir 1/2-inch remaining flap over the folded papers to produce a blank purse card. Decorate the leading of the purse card with felt and pretend flowers, glitter glue or dimensional paint designs and embellishments for example plastic or shiny buttons, charms, ribbons. Give a handle to the card on each side of the purse flap such as a cord, ribbon or beaded wire. Write mothering sunday greeting inside the card like "Wishing a wonderful birthday" or "Happy Birthday to some Special Lady."
